Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026. Your trust matters to us — this page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
This page is maintained by Moments2Art to answer common questions about our service. It is not legal advice; please review it with a qualified attorney if you need formal legal counsel.
1. Who we are
Moments2Art is a custom art studio that turns your personal photographs into hand-crafted portrait artwork. For privacy questions, contact us at hello@moments2art.com.
2. What information we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, the photo(s) you upload, and any special instructions you provide. We also receive order details from our e-commerce platform, Shopify, and transaction confirmations from our payment processors. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create, review and deliver your custom artwork;
- Process your order, handle payment and arrange shipping;
- Send you proofs, order updates and customer-support messages;
- Improve our website, products and services; and
- Comply with legal and tax obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where applicable laws such as the GDPR require a legal basis, we process personal data based on: the need to perform our contract with you; your consent (for example, uploading a photo); our legitimate business interests in running a safe and efficient service; and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Who we share information with
We share data only with service providers that help us operate the studio and deliver your order. This includes Shopify (e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, cloud-storage providers and email or customer-service tools. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or other third parties.
6. International data transfers
Our business operates in Canada and the United States. Your data may be processed in either country or in jurisdictions where our service providers are located. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for international transfers.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your order information and photos for as long as needed to complete your order, handle any follow-up requests, and comply with legal and tax record-keeping obligations. If you would like us to delete your data sooner, please email us and we will honour your request unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.
8. Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to provide a secure shopping experience and understand how visitors use the site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. We may use analytics services that collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@moments2art.com.
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
